Build up, build up, prepare the way, remove every obstacle out of the way of My people.—Isa. 57:14

Construction

The Schoolhouse Fund

Schoolhousegrassandauxbldg.jpg (55726 bytes)We have finished the lower story of our first high school building, and painted it in vivid Caribbean blues. We call it the Schoolhouse. It has a fully furnished classroom and science lab, as well as another classroom that needs furnishing. Our auxiliary building has restrooms and storage compartments. We need science chemicals, office equipment and supplies for the Schoolhouse lower story (updated 2/1/08). Help us raise the remaining construction and start-up funds for the first home for our mission high school on Caye Caulker. See Donations link for more.

RonKenauxbldg.jpg (105832 bytes)Beyond the Schoolhouse Fund, we look forward to continuing with upper story construction to include a computer room, classrooms and office, and building our storehouse, home ec room and construction workshop.

(Note: The Schoolhouse Fund is for the construction and start-up expenses for the first year of our high school. As of 2/1/08 the lower story of the first building needs science chemicals, office equipment and supplies. This building was originally designed for mission housing, office, storage, etc. on private premises, thus the name Schoolhouse. The first building will be used for its original purposes when we grow out of that building, and construct a larger building on the high school grounds. At that time of course all school items and furniture will be moved to the larger building. Details can be provided upon request.)

Landscaping

lot54.jpg (113361 bytes)We have planted carpet grass over the front of our high school property. This is an amazing kind of grass that needs no mowing, looks like a putting green, and repels crabs, mosquitoes, sand flies and weeds. It is now fully established on the front part of the property. We've also planted Cortador hedges. Once we fill in the back part with sand, there will be more ground to cover and hedges to plant—another opportunity for a church team work project!
